Description

Further excavations of the substantial Roman building found at St Michael's Row, following those represented by ECH2996 and ECH3110, took place between 1926 and 1927 directly east of those previous excavations (1). Two additional column bases and two sections of the east wall were recorded. The site was the extension of the premises of Messrs. Brown & Co., and extended from the eastern entrance of St Michael's Row to the western boundary wall of the Grosvenor Garage in St Michael's St. (1).
