Description

Excavations in 1982 at Chester Castle were part of a sequence of investigations preparing the Flag Tower for public view, following an extensive survey in 1979 - 1980 (1). This event represents the partial demolition of the West Range, including archaeological monitoring and building recording, and excavations of the seventeenth century Armoury foundations (1).
