Description
Chester Castle, c 1920: At some time around 1920, on the ground being tested for new foundations for the A Block, facing St Mary's Church, the outside red sandstone wall of the moat was identified (1).
Dee Stands, 1920: tombstone of a Roman soldier uncovered (2).
