2 shops, formerly shop or shops and town house. Dated 1834, with late C20 alteration. Brown brick, laid to Flemish bond to front and English garden wall bond to rear; double-pile slate roof with ridge lines parallel with the street. Two C20 shopfronts to ground floor; sillbands delineate first and second floors. First floor with 3 recessed sash windows, 6 over 9 panes, beneath gauged brick heads. Second floor with three 6 over 6 pane sashes beneath a flush band of painted stone. Painted stone cornice. The rear elevation, partially overlapped by No.34 Northgate Street (qv), has one window to each upper storey. INTERIOR: altered but retaining some original detail. The building forms a group with Nos 32 and 34 Northgate Street (qv).
