GV II
A range of 3 suburban houses, originally 2 houses. c.1820, with late C20 extensions. Brown brick, laid to English garden wall bond, with hipped roof and slate covering laid to diminishing courses. 4 brick ridge stacks. Front elevation of 5 bays, 2 storeys, the outer bays set back slightly. Original 2 houses each of 4 bays, each with doorways in the third bay from the end. The doorways have shallow pointed arched heads, moulded surrounds and panelled doors. 6 ground floor windows, each of 3, 2-pane lights beneath label moulds, all with C20 metal casements. The pattern is repeated at first floor level, together with blind 2-light openings above doorways. The end bay of no. 23, with lean-to to the rear and a C20 single storeyed extension to the side now forms a separate house (no. 25a). Former coach house with loft to the rear of no.23.
Nos. 23, 25 and 25a form a group with Nos. 15 and 17, and Nos 19 and 21 Eaton Road.
