Detached suburban house. 1905. Orange-brown and red brick, close studding with plaster panels, red clay-tile roof. Free Vernacular Revival style. 2 storeys, 3 bays, symmetrical. 2-storey porch on Roman Doric stone columns. Leaded glazing, most lights with a central elliptical pane; a one-storey canted bay window of 7 lights under lean-to tile roof, left of porch; a brick-mullioned 5-light casement, right of porch. Upper storey close-studded, with tension-braces: shaped panels under casements. a 5-light oriel to porch-room; a 4-light casement proud of wall-face to each wing; close-studded boldly-jettied gable with vine and grapes carved on face of bargeboards to porch-bay; 2 shaped chimneys. The right end has a small gabled inglenook wing. Carved datemark. INTERIOR: beams and joists exposed; 2-panel doors; timber pilastered doorcases to main rooms; tiled fireplace in oak surround and fireside windows to inglenook; panelled archways; dogleg oak stair with vase splat balusters.
