Canal lock and sluice. c1775. By Samuel Weston. For Chester Canal Company. Red sandstone and brick. Lock chamber has brick walls with patches of large sandstone blocks; upper end of chamber segmental in plan; both pairs of lock gates replaced in steel; sandstone copings; sandstone-lined sluiceway.
