Description

SJ 46 NW CHRISTLETON C.P. THE VILLAGE (North Side) 3/32 The Manor House GV II Farmhouse: probably late C16 origins, early C18 exterior with some C20 alterations. Flemish bond orange brick. Welsh slate roof and 3 brick chimneys (2 gable and 1 ridge). Rectangular plan with an entry behind the stack. 2-storey, 4-bay front. Windows are 12-pane C20 casements below, 9-pane above. 3rd bay has a gabled 2-storey porch with a semi-circular headed entrance, with a small rectangular opening to either side. Behind is a C20 board door and glazed panels and C16 joists in ceiling. Above is a 9-pane window. Interior: Extensively refurbished but 2 heavy ceiling beams (1 chamfered) survive. Outline of massive central fireplace also visible. Listing NGR: SJ4411565714
