House, late C17 to early C18 with additional wing and alterations. Brown brick, with stone dressings. Slate roof. Square, 2 storey house with attics and cellars. Symmetrical garden front with 5 windows. Replaced sashes with glazing bars, some recently unblocked, with gauged brick heads and header cills. Central stone doorcase has heavy moulded architrave and supports flat projecting canopy. Moulded stone plinth and band and rusticated quoins. Replaced central brick stack. Cellar window has stone mullion. Interior: Oak close string stair has moulded rail , twisted ballusters, and square newels. In attic it has altered turned ballusters brought from Broxton estate. Stop chamfered beams, including inglenook bressumer. Panelling also brought from outside.
