WINCLE C.P. SJ 96 NE 2/52 Lane House Farmhouse
II
House, probably early C17, altered, of reddish-buff coursed rubble sandstone roofed in Kerridge stone slate with gable chimneys of brick. l½ storeys with 3 windows to lower, 2 to upper storey. Lower window right has wood casement in (probably) an altered doorway with recessed chamfered stone surround to upper part of present opening. The central lower window, originally of 5 lights with chamfered lintel, jambs and cill has 1 surviving recessed chamfered mullion. The left lower window is an inserted wood casement. A blocked 3-light, window is left of centre. The right upper storey window has 5 lights (1 blocked), the left window has 4 lights; both have recessed chamfered mullions. A single-storey shed of same materials projects forward, left. The rear wing to right has shaped kneelers and gable chimney of stone. Interior Chamfered oak beams in parlour.
