Listed Building: MANOR FARMHOUSE (1318921)

OLLERTON C.P. SJ 77 NE 2/47 SEVEN SISTERS LANE Manor Farmhouse II Farmhouse. c.1670. Plum English garden wall bond brick with stone and rendered stone additions and slate roof. Entrance front: stone plinth. Gabled single storey porch entrance to right hand side with rendered stone quoins. Semi-circular arched doorway now bricked in to lower level with arched late C19 window above with ovolo moulded sill. To left of this is a 2-bay C19 composition with a doorway to centre having gabled timber porch supported on brick base before. To either side are four-light windows with ovolo-moulded mullions and surrounds and cambered relieving arches over. Two similar three light windows to first floor with a single light C19 window to the right over the Cl7 gabled porch. Evidence of windows having been previously disposed in a different arrangement including signs of two second floor windows, now blocked. C19 two - storey addition to right with three-light canted bay window with ovolo-moulded mullions and surround to ground floor and three-light window to first floor with ovolo-moulded surround. Interior: Chamfered end-stopped ceiling beams to ground floor rooms. Decorated panelling to through corridor (perhaps originally forming dais end to ground floor hall) of plaster and wood. Doorway to centre with rectangular panel above containing shield which is divided vertically by a raised band. Inscription in relief reads L. L. I. E. S. S. 1668 1673 To either side of this central panel are paired pilasters on cyma moulded bases with surrounding strapwork. To either side of them are semi-circular panels with strapwork surrounds and diamond-pointed rustication to their spandrels and raised keystones. The panels each contain relief mouldings of 2 pear trees inclined towards each other. Further rectangular panel over door to right also showing inclined pear trees, perhaps of a later date.
