SJ 88 SW WILMSLOW FORMER U.D. ALTRINCHAM ROAD (South Side) Styal 1/267 Norcliffe Hall Farmhouse. 6/3/1975 II Farmhouse, earlier C17 with raising of roof and brick alterations mid C19. Timber-framed with brick nogging on ashlar plinth to front, remainder washed brick. Welsh slate roof and 2 brick chimneys. Long rectangular plan 2-storey, 4-bay front. Windows mostly casements with applied lead glazing, the upper ones in a brick raising of the roof above timber small framing. Above one is a coved gabled dormer raised with the roof . Lower window in 2nd bay is a 5-light wooden ovolo-moulded mullioned and transomed and 3rd bay has a board door under a gabled hood on wooden brackets. 1-storey brick lean-to at right end.
