Description

SJ 88 SW WILMSLOW FORMER U.D. ALTRINCHAM ROAD (South Side) Styal 1/248 Styal Cross 6/3/1975 GV II Village cross: Medieval but moved to present site 1981. Ashlar buff sandstone. 3 square steps carry a square base with a chamfered top. The bottom of the shaft is square from which a tapering chamfered shaft rises, the top is now broken off. The cross was moved here from the end of Holly Lane in 1981 and the Victorian top was then removed. Listing NGR: SJ8353283475
