House (formerly Farmhouse). Late C17. Flemish bond brick, slate roof. 2 storeys with attic. North front: Vitrified headers, 3 bays. Doorway slightly to right of centre with flat (replacement) lintel. Cambered relieving arch above of headers with wooden panel to tympanum. Ground floor windows to either side of 5 lights with chamfered stone surrounds and mullions. 3 panes to each light. Double cambered relieving arches above joining over the middle light. Similar to first floor. String course between floors of 2 rows of stretchers supported on alternately projecting headers. Further string course above first floor of 3 rows of overlapping stretchers. C18 outhouse to right and C19 outhouse to left. South front: double gabled. String course above ground floor as to north front. String course above first floor of 2 rows of stretchers sandwiching a row of canted headers. C19 door and porch to right of centre. Ground floor left hand window of 3 lights (originally 4) with chamfered stone mullions and lintel of headers extending to left indicating placing of original 4th light. 2 similar windows to first floor, the left hand one also originally of 4 lights indicated by joint in brickwork (the extended lintel is not here present). 2-light chamfered window to attic with lintel of brick headers. Similar window under same gable originally to right and slightly lower, now reduced to one 2-pane light and given new wooden surround. C20, 2-light window and french windows to ground floor right replacing a 3-light window with chamfered stone surround and mullions. East side: 4-light window with chamfered stone surround and mullions and double relieving arch to ground floor left. Other windows and doors are C19 replacements. Good contemporary staircase.
