Farmhouse: earlier C17 with C19 alterations. Washed, coursed squared buff sandstone rubble. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 3 stone chimneys. T-shaped in plan. 2-storey, 3-bay north front. Central bay steps one bay forward and has lean-to against ground storey. 6-pane window with rubble hood mould above and semi-circular headed niche in gable. 2 similar openings have windows, to right side. Left end bay has window with remains of hood mould. Right end bay has ovolo-moulded doorcase with a flat hood above lying behind C20 glass porch. Remains of 3-light stone mullion with hood mould above. Interior: 3 rooms on ground floor. Door opens into dairy with 2 chamfered beams. Main room has heck post and screen and fire beam forming inglenook. Ovolo-moulded beam in the ceiling. The linkage and stone flywheel of a butter churn device operated by a foot treadle in front of the living room fire and working the float in the churn in the dairy survives. This was made by Goddard, a wheelwright who lived in the farm in the last century.
