Description
ELLESMERE PORT & NESTON DOCK STREET SJ 4077 7/22 Lime Shed 12.9.78 GV II c.1830 extended (north-west) 1880-85 single storey red-brown brick-built rec- tangular warehouse with slate roofs. Stone cappings to end gables and to para- pet at change of level to taller north-western extension. Boarded doors in south-east end and along north-east side, along canal arm. 2 circular venti- lator windows are later insertions in older part of building. Chamfered west corner, corbelled above, to allow space for horses to pass between building and canal. Remains of crane fixing on north-east wall for lifting planks into dry dock.
