Row of four cottages, late seventeenth century. Brick nogged timber frame and brickwork, formerly thatched now with red asbestos-cement slate roof. Two storeys, five window-bays. Timbers in small framing to centre cottages front and rear, others have timbers painted on whitened brickwork. Mainly three-light flush casement windows with rectangular leaded glazing. One original window, with gudgeon hung casements, at first floor level. Boarded doors in heavy frames. Both gables are rebuilt in brick and the east gable has a single storey outshut built against it. Gable and symmetrically placed party wall stacks. Interior: Inglenook and bevelled beams. Wide boarded doors with old strap hinges. Cottage staircases with winders. Timbers in internal walls at first floor level.
