Description

BURLAND C.P. SJ 65 SW 4/52 WREXHAM ROAD Burland Farm House II GV Farmhouse, circa 1870 built as part of the Peckforton Estate. Red brick in English Garden Wall Bond, with tile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. A 3-bay return (south-east) completes an "L" shaped plan. Half glazed and boarded door with studs and false strap hinges. This is fronted by a gabled brick porch with cast-iron lattice casements to the sides and timber infilling to the gable. 2-to-4-light cast-iron hexagonal lozenge casement windows with segmental arches. The centre bay is projecting and has a gable with St.Andrew's Cross bracing and finial. The chimneys have been altered but one still retains the Tollemache style of individual flues.
