HUNSTERSON C.P. SJ 64 NE 4/39 BRIDGEMERE LANE Foxes Barn Cottage - II House. C17. Timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and brick with a plain tile roof, originally thatched. Single storey with attic. Baffle entry plan. Entrance front: 6 x 2 cells of small framing on a projecting plinth with a doorway at right and a 2-light window to the left. To the right of this is renewed C20 brick walling painted in simulation of timber framing with a 2-light casement window and to the right of this is a C20 addition with a 2-light cambered-headed window at left and a lean-to to the right. Three and two-light gabled dormer windows at left and right respectively. To the left is a C19 cart shed with a stable door at left and two single-light C20 windows at right. The first floor above this has a 2-light gabled ½-dormer window. Two ridge chimneys at left and right. Interior: chamfered ceiling beams to one ground floor room with end stops and an ovolo moulded wall plate which appears internally. Two ingle-nook fireplaces with chamfered bressumers.
