Farmhouse, late C17 but of early C18 appearance. Red brick, in Flemish Bond, with some timber framing and sandstone and slate roof. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays, double pile. Flush sandstone plinth. Multi-glazed door with panelled lining, high plinth blocks and external architrave. Mainly 2-light casements with glazing bars, stone sills and deep skewback heads with keystones. Attic windows are single light and the centre window is sealed. Ogee moulded kneelers to gables and stone parapet coping, which flattens over the triangular brick filling between the twin gables. The rear (north-east) wing is part red sandstone and part timber framing. Interior: Ovolo, deep-bevelled and chamfered beams. Inglenook beam. Some timbers in internal walls. Dado panelling in Jacobean style, six-panel doors, one on HL hinges. Staircase with cut and bracketed string and swanneck handrail.
