Description

STANTHORNE C.P. SJ 66 NE 5/79 (Off) CLIVEGREEN LANE Park Farmhouse 3.1.67 GV II Farmhouse. Late C17 with early C18, C19 and C20 additions. Red English bond brick to the C17 portion with Flemish bond to the C18 portion and English garden wall bond brick to the C19 and C20 portions. Slate roof. Entrance front: Gable end of Cl8 date with Flemish bond brick and black headers. Band of 2 bricks depth between ground and first floors and moulded string course of brick between first and attic floors. Central ground floor 4-panel doorway with horned sash window of 2 x 2 panes to left and 2-light casement window to right. Above the central doorway the band forms a small pediment and there is a sash window of 2 x 2 panes to the first floor left and a 2-light casement at right. Two-light casement windows to gable with an imposed C20 chimney stack to the centre of the gable which has a stone coping and springers. Right hand return: Early C19 wing to centre originally a separate cottage. To the left and right of this runs a band between the floors of three bricks depth resting on projecting headers. To the left is a single-light C20 ground floor window and to the first floor a window of 2 casement lights with a C17 leaded surround and 3 x 4 panes to each light. Basket relieving arch over. To the right of the central wing is a 2-light ground floor casement window and there is a blank window to the first floor. To the right of this is an C18 extension of one bay in Flemish bond brick. This has a band of 2 bricks depth between the floors and sash windows of 2 x 2 panes to both floors. Rear: 2 blocked ground floor windows and one C20 casement to first floor right. There is a central recessed panel to the centre of the first floor stuccoed and with the date 1727 set in pebbles to the centre. Band between this floor and the attic which has a 2-light C19 window. Stone springers and coping to gable. Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams to the ground floor and a 2-panel door of early C18 date. Fitted clothes press to one first floor room with doors of late C17/Early C18 date. Listing NGR: SJ6837965228
