Description
WINSFORD FORMER U.D. WEAVER NAVIGATION SJ 66 NW 6441 6974 4/121 Flood gates and sluice bridge.
- II Pair of flood gates and sluice bridge. c.1890. Red sandstone ashlar with cast iron bridge. Two round arches of cast iron set between rusticated ashlar piers. Downriver devation: lateral and central cut waters supporting ramped buttresses with piers above which have limestone dressings. Ashlar springers to the cast iron bridges from which the sluice gates are suspended.
