Abstract/Summary
Heritage assessment undertaken in 2024 for a derelict workshop prior to its proposed demolition and re-development of the site. The workshop itself is considered to have no heritage interest, however, its rear wall is formed by the wall of the Vale Royal Abbey precinct which is curtiledge listed. A Site visit, walk-over survey and inspection of the interior of the former workshop were undertaken on 26 March 2024 in overcast weather conditions with poor to moderate visibility. Photographs were taken to provided a visual context. Remedial repairs to the wall once the building has been demolished may included repair of brickwork, re-pointing and re-bedding of stone capping.
