Abstract/Summary
Discussion of Roman amphitheatres, theatres and circuses found in Britain, including the amphitheatres at Chester, Caerleon, Richborough, Caistor St Edmund, London, Richborough, Dorchester and Silchester; theatres at Verulamium, Colchester, Canterbury and Gosbeck's Farm; also the circus at Colchester. It examines the legionary amphitheatres at Chester and Caerleon.
