Abstract/Summary
Report of archaeological monitoring and recording undertaken in 2023 during groundworks associated with the alteration of an existing outdoor swimming pool at Poole Hall, Cinder Lane, Poole, Nantwich, Cheshire (centring on NGR SJ 64575 55166). Poole Hall is a Grade II* listed building.
A group of late intrusions – two of which produced finds of 19th-century date from within their respective fill deposits – were encountered. No further features were encountered during the monitoring and it became apparent that the groundworks for the new swimming pool had disturbed little of archaeological significance.
