Abstract/Summary
Transcription and translation of the Legh of Lyme Survey which was compiled by Sir Peter Legh of Lyme and Bradley in 1466. The survey detailed Sir Legh's holdings in the counties of Cheshire, Lancashire and Derbyshire, describing them by manor, listing his tenants and itemising their land. Altogether over 1600 holdings are listed and more than 700 people identified by name. Includes a CD-ROM of the translation and transcription, charts, maps, and an appendix listing the folios used.
