The MPP step 1 glass report assesses the character and extent of survival of sites and monuments of the industry in England. This assessment is accompanied by an outline of current knowledge of the archaeology and history of the industry, and an outline of the technology as expressed by archaeological features. A list of components explains terms used in the site-reports which will comprise Step 3 of the survey. Appendix 1 lists sites which have been identified so far.
