Abstract/Summary
Report for an archaeological watching brief undertaken at Land East of Bewsey Road, Warrington, in December 2021 to January 2022. It comprised continuous archaeological monitoring and recording of groundworks in three areas of the site to examine the potential presence and nature of any surviving below ground archaeological features. All three areas consisted of an overburden of concrete and gravel, which, when removed revealed layers of demolition material, concrete, and sand; the only evidence of archaeology in any area was a truncated handmade red brick drainage culvert in the southeastern section of area 3.
