Abstract/Summary
From 2003 to 2004 John Higgins, John Nicholl and Gillian Oakes surveyed and photographed 277 milestones, posts and boundary stones in Cheshire. The county was split into two - Cheshire East (Macclesfield, Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich) and Cheshire West (Ellesmere Port & Neston, Vale Royal, Halton, Warrington). The survey also included Stockport, Temeside, Trafford and the Wirral.
