Abstract/Summary
A Heritage Desk-Based Assessment was produced in 2021 for land at Chads Farm in the Tushingham-cum-Grindley parish of Cheshire. The site measures approximately 38.44ha in extent and is proposed for solar arrays and associated infrastructure.
The main area of the site comprises seven fields lying between Chads Farm to the west, Willey Farm to the east, and Moorside Farm to the south. In addition, it also includes a trackway and small part of an additional field. The A41 Whitchurch Road runs c.630m to the west of the site and the Llangollen Canal is located c.440m to the south-east of the site at its closest point. The Bishop Bennet Way crosses the centre of the site on a north/south axis. It joins other footpaths at the north-western corner and southern boundary of the site.
