Abstract/Summary
An historic building survey was undertaken in 2020 of the barn at Kenyon House, Mobberley, Knutsford. The five-bay barn was probably constructed in the early 19th century as a series of cattle shippons with a hayloft over. An outshut was subsequently added, probably as a pig cote. Probably in the early 20th century, the floor levels were raised, original doorways either blocked or enlarged, and windows inserted. At ground floor level, the shippons were re-arranged, and a cartshed inserted. At first floor level, a room was created as domestic accommodation.
