Abstract/Summary
A geophysical survey was conducted in 2017 in advance of proposed works for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) flower show at Tatton Park, near Knutsford, Cheshire. The proposal comprised the development of a new RHS flower show site in the parkland around Boathouse Plantation, on the banks of Tatton Mere.
The works comprised detailed geomagnetic survey of two areas, totalling approximately nine hectares, on the north‐east and north‐west banks of Tatton Mere.
Results included the identification of a former field boundary, depicted on historic OS maps. Also, services, drains and small areas of probable dumped deposits and hardstanding, including three potential former tracks.
