Abstract/Summary
The equivalent of a level 2 building survey was produced in 2019 for Eaves Farmhouse, Cross Lane, Croft; the farmhouse was demolished in July 2019, photographs were taken before its demolition, but the report itself was compiled retrospectively. The farmhouse was neither nationally nor locally listed. It was a two bay, two storey, detached house, with a single pile pitched slate roof and flanking red brick chimneys, additionally it had a two storey rear extension. A red brick stable was situated to the north of the farmhouse. It is first depicted on the 1837 Southworth With Croft Tithe map and is thought to be of early to mid nineteenth century date.
