Abstract/Summary
The equivalent of a level 2 building survey was produced in 2019 for Eaves Farmhouse, Cross Lane, Croft; the farmhouse was demolished in July 2019, photographs were taken before its demolition, but the report itself was compiled retrospectively. The farmhouse was neither nationally nor locally listed. It was a two bay, two storey, detached house, with a single pile pitched slate roof and flanking red brick chimneys, additionally it had a two storey rear extension. A red brick stable was situated to the north-west of the farmhouse. It is first depicted on the 1837 Southworth With Croft Tithe map and is thought to be of early to mid nineteenth century date.
