Source/Archive record SCH8709 - Urenco: Capenhurst Archaeological Watching Brief

An intermittent watching brief occurred between 2009-2012 on shallow works at the nuclear processing facility at Capenhurst, west of Ellesmere Port. Due to security concerns photography was not allowed and an overall site plan was also restricted. The report of the work is in the form of a letter which contains results of the historic research, results of the watching brief, and also a plan of the groundworks. L-P Archaeology monitored all of groundworks undertaken by Jacobs, which were carried out with appropriate plant, however, no archaeological features were present.
