Abstract/Summary
Landscape survey and interpretation of earthworks within and adjacent to the woodlands along Duke's Drive/Chester Approach leading to Eaton Hall. The focus of the study is the old Chester to Poulton road and surrounding features, including curving earthworks on Eccleston Hill conjectured to be an Iron Age/Roman age fortification. The work was undertaken with the agreement of the Eaton Estate which retains copyright for all work produced.
