Abstract/Summary

Heritage Impact Assessment prepared in February 2019 in support of plannning and listed building consent applications for the introduction of a Wedding Venue Building within the former Service Courtyard at Dorfold Hall, Acton, also for repairs and the adaptive re-use of the surviving Store and Potting Shed. The proposal is to retain the remnant brick walls of the former service yard and construct buildings of a similar footprint, scale and form within the yard and re-use of the former coach house, store and potting shed. This will result in buildings of an appropriate design that will compliment the surviving fabric of the yard, including the former coach house and store building, and indeed, would contribute to preserving the evidential, historical, architectural and community values of the heritage significance of Dorfold Hall.
