Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2018 at Eastgate Road, Manor Park, Runcorn (centred on NGR SJ 56793 84648). The work was required as a fulfilment of a condition of planning consent, as the area has been highlighted as having a high archaeological potential. The archaeological work undertaken comprised the supervision of ground clearance, topsoil stripping, and excavations for foundations, footings and services in the development area. A stone land drain containing post medieval artefacts and a modern drainage ditch were recorded. No significant archaeological deposits or features were observed during the work.
