Abstract/Summary
An archaeological written scheme of investigation was produced in October 2015 in advance of proposed development of student accommodation blocks on land at Linenhall, Stanley Street, Chester. The document provides details on the programme of archaeological work to be undertaken on site, including an initial phase of monitoring geotechnical pits, also archaeological excavation of proposed lift pits, tower crane bases and manhole. The overall aim of the programme of work is the preservation in situ of the significant archaeological deposits known to exist on site.
