Abstract/Summary

Heritage Statement compiled in July 2013 in support of a planning application for a wind turbine development on land at Helsby Railway Sidings, Helsby, Cheshire. The study has comprised desk-based research and site survey, supplemented with photographs, to identify heritage assets within the area of interest and the effect of the proposed development on these. The study concludes that the wind turbine development would not have any major adverse effects to surrounding heritage assets, but would have an insignificant impact on the setting of the Iron Age Hillfort at Helsby and the Grade II Listed Stationmaster's House, the Railway Station and the Shelter on Island Platform, at Helsby Railway Station.
