Abstract/Summary

A measured tree-ring series from twelve timbers from the farmhouse and barn indicated that construction of the barn occurred around AD 1679 and construction of the farmhouse wing occurred in AD 1685, or soon after. The failure to date possible earlier timbers in the farmhouse wall-frame and roof suggest that this date should not be applied to the rest of the main range without additional evidence.
