Abstract/Summary
Report on Desk based assesssment of the archaeological potential of the Gorse stacks which is the preferred location for a new bus Exchange. There are organic remains including wood and leather in deposits 2-3m deep on the site of the proposed terminus building itself. Elsewhere on the site, sesitive areas of Roman archaeology survive. Vunerability of the archaeology will depend on the extent of ground disturbance associated with the development.
