Abstract/Summary
Poulton is a multi-period site in western Cheshire which has been the subject of an archaeological research programme since 1995 (see ECH6953). A major focus of investigations has been the remains of a medieval chapel and its associated graveyard (see ECH5951).
Analyses of the human skeletal material excavated up to the end of 2002 and 2008 have been previously published (Carpenter and Crane, 2003 and 2010). However, continuing excavations have produced further remains. This report includes all material so far collected to the end of 2012, comprising 627 skeletons and considerable quantities of disarticulated bone.
