Abstract/Summary
Report of Archaeological excavation of four trial trenches undertaken at Chester Castle between 16th and 20th June 2014.
Results of the excavation suggest that all deposits in this area are relativley loose in nature with limited compaction present. These mainly date to the Post Medeival and modern periods. However, at the Northern side of the Propylaeum intact Roman and Medieval strata were identified.
