Abstract/Summary
Following an arson attack to a Chester Council Council owned building at the base of the curtain wall of Chester Castle, it was necessary to undertake specialist cleaning of the masonry in order to remove smoke and soot staining. The building was demolished by the County Council prior to cleaning works being undertaken.
