Abstract/Summary
Results show that a great deal of disturbance occurred when the railway was established, and with the subsequent removal of the railway in the late 20th century. Elements of the Railway survived on the site in the form of turntable bases and parts of pulley systems and ditches. Post medieval agricultural soils were present below the railway levels, which in turn sealed Roman agricultural soils and features. No Medieval features or deposits were encountered.
