Abstract/Summary
The watching brief revealed natural sand beneath the ploughsoil with little evidence of any build up of doil from the digging of graves. At the point where the foundations joined the footing of the church, bedrock was apparent indicating tha tthe church was established on an outcrop of bedrock.
