Abstract/Summary
The report describes the results of the targeted strip, map, and record exercise on the site of cottages visible on 19th and, perhaps, late 18th-century mapping, in advance of housing development. The earliest phase was represented by shallow gullies dated to the 17th century. There were no structural features but subsequent phases produced evidence of a sequence of domestic structures dating to the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
