Abstract/Summary
Two parallel ditches were revealed which fit well with the east-west layout of small fields with boundaries visible on the 1830s Tithe Map. Ditch 1 appears to predate the boundaries on the Tithe Map possibly medieval or earlier in date. Ditch 2 is likely to represent the remains of a field boundary on the Tithe Map. Interpreted as separate parts of a long-lived enclosure system suggesting a degree of continuity in the landscape pattern.
