Abstract/Summary
This Characterisation Study recorded the character of the built environment and natural and designed landscape of Chester, as derived from its heritage and history. The study focussed on the central part of the city and its key approaches. Almost all of the study area fell within existing conservation areas, either the City Centre Conservation Areas or one of several surrounding suburban conservation areas.
